Elmer Pfluger
Elmer Carl Pfluger, 79, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, peacefully from the arms of his loving family to the loving arms of His Lord.
He was born Wednesday, July 29, 1931, in Aurora, Ind., son of the late Elmer and Sarah Pfluger.
He is survived by his son, Randall (wife Jamie) Pfluger, 1313 Edgewood Ct, Carrollton, TX 75007; two grandchildren, Heather Pfluger, and Brandon Pfluger; brother, Charles (wife Elinor) Pfluger; sister, Mary Colen, and several nieces and nephews.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He learned the electrical trade while supporting army logistics in France, and spent over 20 years as an electrician for Seagram's before retiring in 1992. He graduated from Aurora High School and spent the remainder of his life in Lawrenceburg. He loved working with numbers, being with his family, and watching after his grandchildren. He was a tower of strength that will never be forgotten and his strong sense of duty and honor will forever be with us. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Greendale, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at 1p.m. with the Rev. David Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Ind.
