Former Aurora assistant police chief Dennis Lewis was credited with 294 days toward the prison sentence handed down by Judge Jon Cleary Thursday, Sept. 2, in Dearborn Superior Court No. 1. As part of a plea agreement, the Dillsboro resident pleaded guilty in July to one count of child solicitation, a Class C felony, in connection with sexual Internet chat with a person Lewis believed to be a 13-year-old girl. Four other counts were dropped. |

 Abigail Redwine, 23, was killed in a head-on collision Saturday, Aug 21. A head-on collision near Moores Hill Saturday left two women dead, said Dearborn County Sheriff’s Deputy J. David Wismann. Misty Bressert, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene by a University AirCare doctor, and Abigail Redwine, 23, was pronounced dead at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg, said Wismann. Both women were Moores Hill residents. |
